Edwards Audio TT1 and TT2 turntables
Today we are spoilt for choice in the ways we can enjoy listening to music, personally here at eden audio we don't have a particular favorite but we know for sure for many audio lovers the feeling of listening to vinyl just can't be beaten.
Listen to vinyl? you may well ask, but isn't that something grandad used to do? The funny thing is that even today many people are discovering the virtues of listening to vinyl, you might not have the convience of an iPod or your files stored on your PC, but listening to vinyl can be so much more fun. In fact is seems to becoming more and more popular, for sure it doesn't sell in the quantities it did in it's heyday, but demand is still have enough for manufactures to continue producing new turntables.
Edwards Audio are one of those manufactures that have noticed this current trend that us lovers of good music still want to listen to vinyl, so what do Edwards Audio go and do? They give us two superb highly affordable turntables based around a Rega but with some major improvements in key areas.
Edwards Audio TT1
The TT1 makes for an excellent way to introduce yourself in to the world of listening to vinyl. It features a smart low mass LDF plinth on to which are mounted the 230V AC motor, a RB202 arm and a precision made brass bearing housing. The inner platter runs on a custom made ceramic 5mm bearing which is run in a specially produced light synthetic machine oil designed for Formula 1 applications. This is all topped off with a 12 mm custom made Acrylic platter driven by our own custom made ‘Little Belter’ BLUE belt and supported on 3 rubber isolation feet, designed to compliment the mass of the turntable.
Just add a cartridge and a phono stage such as the Edwards Audio MM1 or MM2 and you for sure will have a big smile on your face as once again you will be able to start enjoying listening to that lovely sound of vinyl once again, go on, give your ears a treat.
