KingRex Power Supplies
There is a very simple and effective way of upgrading your KingRex amplifier or DAC and that is to simply add one of the Kingrex off board power supplies, by adding one of the power supplies the sound coming from your KingRex equipment will gain in all those important areas us audiophiles and music loves crave for when listening to our favorite music collection.
The KingRex Power supply is machined with a 6mm aluminium faceplate and dimensions perfectly matching the T20U and Preamp, this high-spec KingRex power supply is just the right answer for any Tripath amplifier or DAC requiring 12V input.
The KingRex power supply Features
a 48VA toroidal transformer coupled to a full fledged regulatory circuit
with eight audio grade Nippon Chemicon aluminum electrolytic capacitors:
(five 2200uF at AC input stage and three 4700uF at DC output stage),
the PSU has abundant reserves to meet the demand when low frequency
transients draw on high-current voltage.
6moons says this about the KingRex when reviewing the T20U: "When the PSUs were added to the pot, musicality thickened. There was more warm air filling up a more expansive soundstage. Bass got deeper and the midrange turned proportionally more pronounced to make the overall harmonics even richer. There were just thin layers of air cushions surrounding the instruments, making the fortissimos more polished and suave and the music more euphonious to the ears. The PSUs seem to filter out so-called digital garbage and turn the KingRex T20 into a quasi tube amp."
British magazine Hi-Fi World magazine put it: "The upgrade PSU . . . improved things by quite a decent margin. A proper image appeared with depth, a good scale and nice sense of atmosphere."

KingRex PSU MKII
New from KingRex is an improved version of their already class leading and very popular standard version of their power supplies, by adding the new MKII the benefits you gained from the original now become u¡even more beneficial, for a piece of Hifi to give its best possible performance a high quality power supply is vital.
This new KingRex unit features ugraded capacitors, 6N FURUKAWA PCOCC wiring and a 3 pin Neutrik DC connection.
It's everything the standard 12V PSU offers plus more. This PSU boasts a 48VA toroidal transformer (A dual-power design so internal wiring can set for 120VAC or 240VAC ), a transistor regulated power-stabilizing circuit with 8 capacitors, 5 x 2200 µF at AC input stage and 3 x 4700uF at DC output stage.
A standard IEC power entry module with switch and 1A/250V fuse allows easy power cord changes. If you're not in the USA or Canada, please check the options above to select the correct cord and voltage for your country.
