The heart and soul of high quality audio amplification begins with
the pre-amplifier. The AT1000 valve pre-amplifier offers you 6 input
switching options - including MP3, through an easily accessed input
connector on the front facia. But more than that, the AT1000 also
boasts a dedicated single-ended class A headphone amplifier, for use
with either 3.5mm or 6.4mm stereo jacks, offering high quality personal

Astintrew after the huge sales success of the AT1000 and AT5000 pre/power amplifiers soon turned their attention to developing an integrated amplifier, but this was to be no ordinary 2-channel inter grated hi-fi audio amplifier oh no, this amplifier was to be something really quite special.
The ASTINtrew AT2000 integrated amplifier combines a class A biased pre-amplifier stage and valve-assisted power amplifier electronics in a compact one-box package using Never Connected power supplies for all low-power circuits, offering stunning musicality at its price point. Astin Trew AT2000 New Intergrated 2.1 System

UK based company Astin Trew have released a audiophile 2.1 system. The AT2000 integrated amplifier has a MOSFET power amplifier, and valve assisted power supply offering 65w into 8ohm.
First seen at this years Audio & AV Show Park Inn Heathrow, the unit has six inputs for all your Hi-Fi and Home cinema needs and all housed in distinctively designed aluminium casework with a 6mm thick front fascia and anodised finishes.
The Astin Trew AT2000 also has multi-room capabilities via a second room option with Balanced XLR and CAT5 outputs. Also on board you will find RS232 and IR remote control options to use with third party multi-room integration.
Astin Trew have also incorporated the latest generation Never Connected™ power supplies, for the pre-amplifier, balanced inputs and outputs and headphone amplifier; offering the lowest low noise floor, with a very natural sound.
Multi Room Feature
Remember, the Astin Trew AT2000 amplifier is not just great sounding, it allows your customer to have VERY high quality sound in a second room from main room sources - with a very easy home set up. This is achieved with cables that we can supply, pre-terminated with XLR or RJ45 plugs that connect between one AT2000 and another, allowing you to run the second amp as a passive amp for use in your second room. The benefit of this over some dedicated multi room systems is that you can enjoy the same high quality performance in a second room without a compromise on quality.

The Astin Trew AT3500 is a superlative CD player, with just one listen to the AstinTrew the hairs on the back of your kneck will let you know just how special this CD player is. When you listen to the AstinTrew you'll hear just why the press have been handing out so much praise on this quite remarkable sounding CD player, it's has the ability to make your CD collection sound like you've never heard it before, now you can hear your CDs in their full sonic glory, emerse yourself in the beautiful sonic landscape the AstinTrew manages to portray, what it achieves at it's price point is unheard of before, it sets the standards other must reach.
The new AstinTrew AT3500Plus cd player and AT2000+ Amplifers
Just recently AstinTrew have set about further improving thier class leading AT3500 cd player and the AT2000 stereo amplifier. The new models have simply became PLUS models. If you thought the old models were something special then just you wait to hear what the new AstinTrew models can do.
It was the ‘smaller’ changes we made that really offered a considerable difference, and at a reasonable cost. We therefore decided that whilst we were not going to become rich offering these ‘good value’ upgrades, they offer such a good value relative to the standard product price, that this would be a popular option for many customers.
These we call the plus versions, and they come with a certificate showing that they are an Astin Trew authorized upgrade. The plus modifications are offered on new machines or as an upgrade path for both the AT2000 and AT3500 after purchase.

We replace a number of the critical capacitors in the signal path with Auri-Cap polypropylene types, as already used in the standard AT3500. All line level signal cable is replaced (and hard wired) between input and PCB’s with super pure single crystal cable. Valve dampers are fitted.

Conclusion.
Both products sound significantly improved in many, if not all areas of musical reproduction. These are some of the comments we have had fed back to us from dealers and reviewers:
* there is a deeper ‘blackness’ to the background
* bass is tighter and goes much lower
* instruments are much better placed within the sound stage
* there is more 'in-focus' detail
* there is better ‘timing’ of the music
* the overall musicality of the products is not changed.

The AT2000 is a remarkably transparent amp in all important respects – it produces attractively open results and reflects the quality and nature of the incoming signal with a very natural and fluent precision....There's no sense here of the sound being mechanical or etched; rather, instruments and voices are placed in the context in which they were recorded....With the AT2000, Astin Trew is offering a genuine alternative to the majority of integrated models in this price range. It's a design of such subtlety and finesse that it rivals Sugden's classic A21 amp, but without the thermal and power challenges of that model.
